5 Signs You’re a Meta-Ideological Chad
This article is co-authored with Nate Coffman.
This is a half-joking play on Hanzi Freinacht’s “5 things that make you metamodern.” “Meta-Ideological Chad” will be abbreviated with MIC. You can read more about meta-ideological politics and Chad centrists in this article.
1. You practice memetic infiltration
Stoic podcaster Peter Limberg coined the term “memetic mediation,” which is the practice of mediating, communicating, and translating between various “memetic tribes” or ideological camps. A key skill of the memetic mediator is the ability to pass the “ideological Turing test,” where one is able to articulate various ideologies with such clarity and conviction that others think you really believe them.
MIC’s go one step beyond memetic mediation, and practices memetic infiltration: joining and participating in various memetic tribes and groups while not only crushing the ideological Turing test, but becoming the coolest person in the room. MIC’s do this by using techniques such as the titanium man, generating a more complex, philosophically astute, deeply intricate understanding of any group’s perspective or ideology. You can beat anyone at their own game by articulating their worldview better than they can.
